The Palace of Culture and Labor of Ho Chi Minh City is an architectural work consisting of a cluster of buildings and stadiums serving cultural, physical and sports activities for the people of City as well as of many other places. The Palace is located at 55B, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
The Palace of Culture and Labor of Ho Chi Minh City is a place to practice, foster and discover many potential athletes in many sports such as water polo, billiards, ... some athletes also participate in major competitions such as: SEA Games, Para Games... Many cultural and artistic activities are held here such as: painting, fashion, photography, folk songs and a number of art performances and stage festivals and mass performances. On January 22, 2006, the Palace of Culture and Labor of Ho Chi Minh City was awarded the Labor Medal, Class I, by the President.

In 1866, French officers occupied a large area of this planning area to make an unofficial sports ground, for athletics, shooting and horse racing [2].
In 1896, an elite sports club was established, named Cercle Sportif Saigonnais (Saigon Sports Club), sports activities were held regularly.
In 1902, the colonial government built the base of Le Cercle Sportif Saigonnais Club right in the flower garden, including a football field, swimming pool and tennis court. The club's football field at that time was the only one qualified to welcome foreign teams to the match.

On November 7, 1975, the Military Management Committee of Saigon - Gia Dinh City assigned the Saigon Sports Club (Cercle Sportif Saigonnais - a place dedicated to French, American and former regime officers and the former elite) for the City Union of Trade Unions to build it into a Labor Club, in order to serve cultural and sports activities for employees and workers of the City. In the past years, from the Labor Club (November 7, 1975), the institution has been continuously invested, developed and renamed as Labor Culture House (1985), the Palace of Culture and Labor of Ho Chi Minh City (1998 to present).
